IIHC has successfully conducted more than 500 communication skills enhancement program for the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff working in 35 hospitals under Delhi Government. These programs were organized with the objective to sensitize the participants to the changing communication needs of the patients and responding appropriately. More than 15000 (fifteen thousand) healthcare professionals were trained through these programs. The programs were very well received by the participants.

IIHC was asked to conduct a similar program for the medical superintendents of all the 35 hospitals at Delhi Secretariat. The program was personally attended by the then health secretary.

IIHC has conducted multiple programs for the clinicians working in corporate hospitals on a variety of aspects.

CLINICAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR PRACTICING DOCTORS :

The objective of these programs is to help consultants introspect and enhance their communication skills in a friendly non-judgemental environment. These trainings sensitize clinicians to the importance and need of effective communication in patientcare and its role in improving accuracy of treatment, reducing errors, ensuring patient safety, continuity of care and creating patient satisfaction

EMOTIONAL INTELLEGENCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS:

Emotional Intelligence Development Program for Healthcare Providers is a program designed to help the professionals identify their own emotions and label and regulate them accurately. The program encourages participants to understand the emotions of others and see their perspective. This would foster empathy and compassion among healthcare providers.

HEALTHCARE LEADERSHIP AND TEAM BUIDLING PROGRAM:

Healthcare Leadership and Team Building Program is designed specifically keeping in mind the need to work together as the patient’s safety and continuity of care greatly depends on the team’s ability to work cohesively. IIHC’s initiatives are directed towards encouraging answerability and responsibility- sharing amongst all members in a healthcare facility.

PHYSICIAN WELL BEING AND WORK LIFE BALANCE :

This is a program exclusively for doctors to understand the need of self-care. The program intends to improve resilience among doctors by being mindful of their health and well-being and consequently reduce physician burnout.

CUSTOMIZED PROGRAM FOR NABH ACCREDITATION ON COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS :

IIHC conducts programs that are customised for every institution, with an objective to prepare the healthcare facility and professionals to meet the NABH requirements on standard PRE8. Besides sensitizing the healthcare facility towards the importance of effective communication skills, our programs help define very specific protocols to meet challenging situations often encountered in a clinical setting.
