There is a dearth of trainers in Healthcare Communication. IIHC offers ‘Train the Trainer program’ for doctors/ nurses/medical faculty/trainers and quality personnel. The idea is to have as many trainers as possible as training is an on-going process and medical colleges and healthcare facilities will benefit from independent in-house communication trainers for their staff.

It is an intense program for individuals who are keen to become trainers in healthcare communication and conduct communication trainings

The program focuses on the following areas:

• Content that needs to be included in any communication skills training.
• Designing and customizing the program as per the institution and training needs
• Pedagogy of conducting training
• Possible role plays, activities and questionnaires to be used in the training
• Essential facilitation skills for the trainers
• Dealing with different audience

The program is designed in a workshop mode to enhance the training skills of the participants. The trainer works one on one with the participants. The participants are made to perform in the presence of the trainer followed by discussion and feedback. The focus is both on the content and the training skills.
