CHANGE IN KNOWELDGE AND ATTITUDE

Highlights:
  1. Almost 98% of medical interns agreed to the fact that developing their communication skills is just as important as developing their knowledge of medicine.
  2. 98% of the participants acknowledged that learning communication skills has helped or will help them respect patients.
  3. After attending the workshop, 98.11% of the participants were of the view that learning communication skills has helped or will help them recognize patient's rights regarding confidentiality and informed consent.
  4. After attending the workshop 75% of the participants found it important that while applying for medicine, it was a really good idea to learn communication skills.
  5. Appx 90% of the participants agreed and acknowledged that learning communication skills is applicable to learning medicine.

Highlights:
  1. Appx 98% of the Medical interns’ post attending the workshop, changed their view about communication skills learning should be left to others, not medical students. Now they realized its importance and worth for medical professionals.
  2. Appx 98% of the participants agreed that learning communication skills is important because their ability to communicate is a lifelong skill.
  3. There was a remarkable change in attitude of the participants who initially found it difficult to trust information about communication skills given to them by non-clinical lecturers, but by end of the workshop they changed their point of view.
  4. Appx 61% of the participants, after attending the workshop, changed their mindset that their ability to pass exams will get them through medicine rather than their ability to communicate. They acknowledged the need of communication skills in healthcare profession.
